Whatever you are facing today, don’t give up. Don’t give up on your hopes and dreams. Don’t give up on the people that you love. Regardless of what your surroundings look like at this moment, this too shall pass. If you believe in it, it’s worth fighting for.
Life doesn’t usually turn out the way we planned. It’s in the unplanned, unwanted moments we have to decide if we will turn and run or stand strong. I’ve done my share of both. What is it that you have desired and not seen come to fruition? Many times we take the easy route and turn and run. This time, stand strong! Don’t give up!
If it’s a dream, remember that you have that dream for a reason. That dream may change someone’s life, it may change the world. You have a purpose and a plan that was designed just for you. Keep your dream alive and keep in mind that before you see your dreams come true, you have to go through the process. The process may be more important than the dream itself.
If it’s a relationship, fight for what you love. It may be a broken marriage, a child that has rebelled or a strained relationship with a family member. The situation may seem repairable. The other person may not want to reconcile. The child may appear to not be listening. The other person may be completely unreasonable. Don’t stop praying and loving. God is the creator of relationships. He created us to be in relationships with others. When we are united we are strong, but if we are divided we will fall. (Luke 11:17) You may not be able to change the situation or the other person. It is doubtful that you will change either, but God….God can move mountains and dry up a sea. He created the heavens and the earth. He can definitely change someone’s heart. If it’s a person that you are struggling with, please don’t give up on them. People can be difficult to deal with, but love them. Love them when they are the hardest to love.
“Don’t give up on the people you love. Your patient love and faithfulness may be exactly what they need to make a complete turnaround”. Joyce Meyer.
If it’s yourself, remember that you are a worth fighting for. You were created by God with a purpose and a plan. He created you for just a time as this. Your past may not be pretty and your present may not look much better, but tomorrow is a new day. Give the past, the present and the future to God. Your hurts and failures will paint your past and influence your present, but it does not have to determine your future. Give it to God and let it go. He has forgiven and forgotten. You should do the same.
You can’t give up because God has never given up on you and never will. He sees your heart and he sees your desires. He hears your prayers and he feels your tears. He loves you and he cares about those that you love. It may not happen today, next week or next year, but your persistence will not go unrewarded.
Pray. Stand strong. Trust God to Move.
